- The GEARWRENCH Powerdrive dead blow hammers feature a shot-loaded head that delivers up to 30% greater impact strength while also eliminating rebound. The thermoplastic head material doesn’t mar work and lasts longer than conventional soft hammer faces, without mushrooming. We manufacture the fiberglass handle shafts with continuous parallel strands that are reinforced with polyester and permanently epoxied to the head. The specially molded grips are unaffected by oils and solvents, and they provide a comfortable, non-slip gripping action while helping to absorb shocks.
